Hospice

The hospice we are using is called "Alpenglow - The perfect light at the end of the day" I found out that Alpenglow is the purple that is sometimes seen in the sky just before sun set or sun rise...lighting that is very coveted by photographers.

I've met with the RN and am very pleased...she is super kind and seems to know what she is doing...she was impressed with Dalaynee and the questions she had about Jeff...she will come here 2 times a week. Also I've met with the Home Health Care Aid, I really liked her too...she will be here 3 times a week to help with bathing, shaving, feeding or whatever I need so I get a break. And today I met with the Social Worker, again I am very pleased...she will be here next week again...she will help me with funeral arrangements, therapy for Dalaynee if necessary and various other things having to do with death. Alpenglow also provides volunteers to step in if I have to run errands etc... So far, I have been very blessed to have Andrew & Zack (my step sons) provide me much time away from the house to do whatever. It's proven to be good for Jeff, who sleeps most of the day to see very familiar faces if he does decide to get up!!

I am real good at coming off strong...but I have major melt downs when I let myself. It's just so hard to believe that Jeff is dying! But, my hope and comfort is that God has a plan..at least there is some reason for this!

Please just continue to pray for strength for us and comfort and peace for Jeff.

Thank you! May God shine on you today!
Jayne

You are an amazing woman, so unbelievably strong. God has a plan, it would be nice if he would give us a manual so we knew what to expect, but then I guess we wouldn't see how magnificient he truly is. If you need anything at all, let me know, you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

Jayne,
Our prayers go out to you.
It is distressing that the local doctors have given up on Jeff especially when the doctors in Chicago seemed to believe they could help Jeff in his fight against the tumor.
The individuals from hospice are good at what they do but the Lord is the great physician and our prayers for you and Jeff,Dalaynee, Andrew and Zack continue.

To anonymous (above Ed & Noella): Who are you? So you know, The doctors in Chicago only gave us a 50/50 chance that what they were going to do would help...that is no better odds than anyone else. Also, the Cedars Sinai Doctor is a brain cancer specialist and I believe that God directed us to stay here for treatment. Thank you for your continued prayers!!! =)

Praise and thanksgiving I finally figured out how to change my password on Google! Wasn't hard, but I had too much pride to ask Gary to help me, so it took me this long to have a presence on this blog! OK,so Jayne...thank you so much for all you do for keeping us informed! You really must know there are so many people who are caring about your family right now! I have read everything all along the way, and feel a part of your story! Prayers are with you, and so is your family! I'll now talk to you soon! (through this blog!)

Thinking about you all today.....I hope you are all having a blessed Father's Day. Zack, Andrew, and Dalaynee are certainly blessed with a wonderful, loving father. We love you, and continue in our prayers.

Keep walking, Keep moving. It was good to see Jeff in the photo above. Dalaynee knows her Dad.

Meltdowns are ok...either way friends and family surround all of you.
